Synopsis

A kindly but impoverished woodcutter, with aspirations of becoming a chef, dwells on the edge of a forest with his hideous, flatulent new wife and his two children, dim-witted Hansel and plucky Gretel. Keen not to share the home-cooked dinners, the horrid stepmother leads the children deep into the forest and leaves them for dead. But as luck would have it, the starving, frightened pair stumbles across a house made out of gingerbread with a welcoming light in the windows…
